Progression
Our main goal is for your child to have fun as they build confidence, strength and body awareness and enjoy gymnastics! We teach proper form and technique FIRST. At times some skills might look too easy from your perception however doing even an easy skill with the proper form is our goal. It is much easier to teach a skill with proper form and technique than it is to try to re-teach a skill after bad habits have been formed. Gymnastics is a progressive sport and practice and consistency definitely helps. Our website offers many drills that can be practiced at home with in depth directions to help students practice successfully.
Registration
Our program runs year round. Fees are collected in six week sessions. Currently enrolled students have priority. Registration is taken on a first come/first serve basis by the date and time stamp on the registration form.
Viewing Policy
Our goal is to provide a safe environment where students can focus and excel without distractions. For several reasons only students are allowed into the gym during gymnastics classes. This policy is in place foremost for the safety of the students and is strictly enforced without exception by both SpiritKids and the City of San Diego Parks and Recreation.
There are several areas with windows where parents may view from outside without disrupting classes.
